Originally from Southwest Virginia, Kanin graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2021 with a B.A. as a mass communications and history double major. Prior to graduating, he interned at the White House Historical Association in addition to managing NPR’s Southwest Virginia member station. Kanin joined The Dufour Collaborative after working as an estate manager for S&R Evermay, a non-profit organization in Washington, DC.

As a producer, Kanin supports Executive Producers and clientele in the flawless planning and execution of events. He specializes in ensuring that the guest experience, project tracking, and event logistics across large-scale and more intimate events are of the highest caliber. Kanin’s rich understanding of American history + aesthetics, proactive attitude, and attention to detail give him an exquisite eye for event design and logistics
