While the ceremony was commencing on Pennsylvania Avenue, our team was at The National Museum of American History producing the celebratory unveiling dinner which would showcase the portraits, honor artists Robert McCurdy and Sharon Sprung, and advance the efforts of the White House Historical Association in their mission to enhance the understanding and appreciation of the Executive Mansion.

Prominently positioned at center stage, the portraits stood side by side on display while guests enjoyed a conversation about their commissioning with their artists moderated by David Rubenstein. Each detail of the dinner was inspired by the portraits, and moreover by the legacy left by the Obamas – dignified, charismatic, and forward thinking.
